My name is Deanna and I have loved horses since I can remember. I was that "horse crazy girl" that never really grew out of it. I got my first horse, Lucy at the age of 16; my second horse, Roy, at 24; and my first pony, Holly, at 25. Today, I teach lessons on Roy and Holly.

You can read more about them by clicking on the "Meet the Team" tab.

My love for horses has never diminished. Even as I was earning a Master's of Science in Psychology, I was looking for ways to incorporate my knowledge of horses. I started teaching in the summer of 2017 and have never looked back. Since then, I have discovered that my teaching style helps students gain confidence (for example, if they have never been around horses before). By focusing on the basics, students gain and understanding of how to care for and ride horses, as well as improve their confidence by practicing a new skill in a supportive environment.

I combine my knowledge of horsemanship, dressage, and psychology to inspire confidence in my students. By using my knowledge and experience, I provide an unforgettable riding experience that will influence you not just while you are in the saddle.

Credentials:

I became immersed in dressage when I adopted my first horse, Lucy. I love that working on basic principles benefits both the horse and rider. This passion led me to ride in clinics with USDF Silver medalists and spend a summer in Germany working with professional riders. In 2017 I began a two-year mentorship with Tina Christensen, a former Olympian who now rescues horses. I currently take lessons on both Roy and Holly with USDF Silver medalists.
